Feel like escaping from everything for a while and having a bit of an adventure in the wild?

Then Buffelsrivier Camping is exactly the place for you. Come and experience the rugged beauty of the Karoo, far away from

everyone and everything and learn what it means to be entirely one with nature. Think campfires, starlit nights, 4 x 4 trips or

a spot of hiking before a hearty meal cooked on the open fire. This is one for the bucket list.

The Opzoek Farm has been in the Van Der Vyver family for many generations and it's no exageration to say

that this land and everything it has to offer, is firmly embedded in our blood. As typical Karoo people, we love to entertain and

welcome people to this beautiful place we call home. We also know exactly how it touches the soul and how it helps to heal, restore,

destress, invigorate or simply allow you to breathe again, so come and experience it for yourself.

The farm covers about 8000ha and you're welcome to set up camp

anywhere you see fit. We will however gladly point  out some of the most beautiful or popular camping spots, depending on your needs. The Klipstoor, for instance,

which was built in the early 1900's and one of only 21 buildings which survived the major

Laignsburg flood of 1981, has always been a firm favourite with our guests.

Pitch your tent inside for some added shelter or anywhere near and experience

some of that historic and rustic elegance the Karoo has become famous for.

During summer time, you might want to be closer to the river, where you

can swim, sunbathe, fish or just cool off in the shade. Whatever your preference, Buffelsrivier Camping is the place to be.
